Makeup Monday // Barry M Nail Paint

There once was a time where I used to never go out without my nails painted. I'd switch up the colours from black, neon pink and nude... Sometimes I'd even experiment with nail art. I once did strawberry nails and also an aztec design. Then I got a job and things changed. *Sigh* Nail polish can instantly turn my mood around it instantly makes you look more eye-catching and unique. If it's a special occasion I will 100% have my favourite nail colour on, and of course, I'd be workin' it. Today, I'm reviewing the Barry M Nail Paints which are available to buy in Superdrug stores. They come in a range of colours and there is seriously a colour for everyone. The colours I own are 290 Spring Green and 303 Bright Purple. I love these colours as they're so in-your-face and loud.

PRODUCT

The nail polish is thick and only really needs one coat. It does take a while to dry so don't think about doing anything with your hands while the nail polish is still wet. I really wish Barry M released a quick drying nail product... Hint hint. There are many colours, as I've previously said, and they range from deep berry colours to neon, matte, glittery, the lot!

PACKAGING

The packaging of these nail paints is shown in the above picture. I really like the matte black top and the font of the writing. It really gives the product the 'Barry M' feel. The packaging isn't over the top and you do get what you pay for without it looking overly cheap and tacky.

PRICE

The price of these nail paints is £2.99. For matte shades or limited edition shades, the price is usually £1 more. I think this is a fair pricing as they are really pigmented and glide on easily. You get what you pay for, but these are better than nail polishes from Maybelline and Rimmel, in my experience.

Thanks for reading my review and I hope you enjoyed this post!

My Month // July 2014

Hello everyone! I know, I've been gone for a few weeks now. I was busy, deciding on my future and dealing with personal issues. I'm sorry! This first post is just a catch up about what I've been up to these last couple of weeks. My month, July.

The first week of July was spent in Sunny Bulgaria, where I drunk two for one cocktails everyday with my best friends. The whole week was jam packed with memories that I'll keep with me for the rest of my life. I may not have gone out every night of the week, but I still had an amazing time on holiday. I'm going to do another post talking about my holiday experience and what I would recommend doing on Wednesday. So be prepared for Sunny Beach selfies.

The other three weeks I came to terms with the fact that holidays were over and the reality of going back to work hit me. My shifts have increased to five a week, which I'm definitely not complaining about as I love money. They say money can't buy you happiness, but it does make me smile knowing I can do whatever I want, when I want. Know what I mean? My work life has been crazy.

I also gave up on the apprenticeship hunt. Recently, a friend told me that maybe an apprenticeship wasn't right for me as I already had three A Levels. I took this in to consideration and now I've enrolled on an Open University English Literature and Creative Writing course. I've always loved writing, hence why I started blogging, so I'm hoping this course will do me wonders. I've received some of my course materials already and I'm super excited to start studying in October.

That's kind of all I have to say. Big dreams and hopefully a big future. As for blogging, I'm thinking of doing a university blog series and maybe talk about the Open University more in detail. I'll also be back with Makeup Monday's, of course. Remember to keep up to date with me on my social network links below.

Thanks for reading!
