Being a Morning Person

Most people shudder at the thought of getting up at 7am, every day. In reality, getting up early every morning, is really good for your body and mind. I must firstly point out that I'm no health expert, my tips in this post are simply from my own experiences.

Set an alarm (or several, in my case). I like to set a few to make sure I actually get out of bed. I get up and make my bed straight away, this is VITAL INFORMATION. Make your bed, then you won't be tempted to jump back into it. Also, open your curtains and let some light into your room!

Getting up early means that you can have more time to enjoy a breakfast. I usually go for Weetabix and a cup of tea, but, sometimes I like to make a bacon, spinach and tomato toastie! They're always delicious - and super easy to make as well! I always have tea to start the day, always. It must be a British thing! Normally, I eat my breakfast whilst watching any shows I'm in need to catch up with, this morning it was Catfish.

I like to cleanse my face and brush my teeth after breakfast time. It really wakes me up and makes me feel refreshed. Hello world!

I then like to get changed into something comfortable. I usually go for workout clothes, even if I don't have plans to exercise, wearing gym gear makes me feel obligated to get moving. Lately I've been loving the coach feature on the Nike Running App... Which sounds so weird to say out loud as I used to hate running! If you haven't used this app, get it! It's great for tracking your progress and comes loaded with weekly targets.

After any exercise, I like to prepare my lunch! I'm pretty set up for the day and it's all thanks to an early morning routine!

  3. I do agree that when waking up early it's beneficial for you as you also get more time in a day and usually are very productive. But sometimes I just can't be bothered thinking about those facts if I'm tired or exhausted haha :D
